Weekend Getaway to Baguio City

I'm blogging again. And this time I will try to write few details about my weekend getaway to Baguio City with my friend Derlyn last weekend. We originally plan to go with my sister and two other friends but they backout a day before the trip. Even if it's just the two of us, we still went to Baguio to spend our two days and one night trip there. Our first stop is Burnham park, where we watched some Baguio residents for their morning exercise while having some site seeing on the area. Next we went to session road and have our breakfast at the nearest resto. After breakfast we walk our way to Baguio Cathedral. From there we went back to terminal and ride our way to Botanical Garden, Wright Park, The Mansion, Mines View Park and Good Shepherd Convent. After all the site seeing, picture taking and eating while walking we spend our time shopping and when we get tired we get a taxi and go straight to the house near Camp John Hay which we rent for few days. We took a rest for awhile then went out again for our tour in Baguio City. Our next destination is Lourdes Grotto, then we went to Tam-Awan Village, after Tam-awan Village we are supposed to go to Asin Hot Springs but we got problem getting a taxi and we are short of time, so we just go back to city proper via jeep. From plaza we get a taxi and go straight to La Trinidad Benguet Strawberry Farm to pick and buy strawberries and vegetables and go shopping in the area. It's quite late when we're done with our shopping and strawberry picking in La Trinidad, and we can't get a taxi from there so we walk our way out the area and ride a jeep back to Baguio City. We went back to session road and have our dinner. After dinner we walk our way to Market to look for cherry tomato which Derlyn need to buy as requested to her. But unfortunately we can't find one. According to the locals it's available in La Trinidad Market only in the morning. After all the shopping we went back to our place to rest. The next day we went early to PMA (Philippine Military Academy) and spent half of the day there site seeing, picture taking, and watching cadets drill which is really fun. That day cadets & officers have ongoing presentations and activities. We got the chance to watched pasa masid by cadets and batch presentations. The “Bagwis Class of 2012” is really great, their presentation is fun and informative. For the first time I've seen cadets dancing in the tune of “Nobody”, “Careless whisper” and the likes. After our trip to PMA we are suppose to go back to Cathedral for mass but we are unable to do because of time constraint. We just went back to our place to fix our things and headed our way back to Manila.
