Rose is a good friend and an office mate for many of us for ten years now. She served as an inspiration and a model for many. She wasn't the type who would tell one what is good and right. She simply showed everyone through her actions.
As a daughter, she chose the path of single blessedness to take care of her aging parents. She took the role of being one of the major bread winners of her family.
In her faith, she devoted her days in prayer and actively participated in the noble causes of their community. She shared her talent in singing to give praise and encouraged others to do the same.
Camaraderie to her peers at work was always felt. Be it in the afternoon break-time ambag-ambag, the after office sing-a-long sessions, or to giving contributions to present or past officemates who are in need of financial assistance.
One might think it might be true that God choose to test those who are closest to Him. Early last year Rose was diagnosed to have cancer of the lymphoma. With the help of her family, friends and charity she was able to go through chemotherapy then radiation therapy. Hopes were high. Her initial symptoms of continuous coughing disappeared. While having regular check-ups and waiting for the final diagnosis to see if her treatments worked she decided to go back to work. She came in twice a week. Again, her presence brought good to so many at work who were having trials of their own. Her attitude towards life became a source of strength and inspiration.
To date, at age 47 only, she started on her second round of chemotherapy. Her cancer cells continue to misbehave and spread to her body. But just like how she was before, her faith remains steadfast. She believes that a miracle is coming her way.
Please join us and include this wonderful lady in your prayers each day. Include her family that they be given the strength to face the challenges.
