Help A Friend

Rose is a good friend and an office mate for many of us for ten years now. She served as an inspiration and a model for many. She wasn't the type who would tell one what is good and right. She simply showed everyone through her actions.

As a daughter, she chose the path of single blessedness to take care of her aging parents. She took the role of being one of the major bread winners of her family.

In her faith, she devoted her days in prayer and actively participated in the noble causes of their community. She shared her talent in singing to give praise and encouraged others to do the same.

Camaraderie to her peers at work was always felt. Be it in the afternoon break-time ambag-ambag, the after office sing-a-long sessions, or to giving contributions to present or past officemates who are in need of financial assistance.

One might think it might be true that God choose to test those who are closest to Him. Early last year Rose was diagnosed to have cancer of the lymphoma. With the help of her family, friends and charity she was able to go through chemotherapy then radiation therapy. Hopes were high. Her initial symptoms of continuous coughing disappeared. While having regular check-ups and waiting for the final diagnosis to see if her treatments worked she decided to go back to work. She came in twice a week. Again, her presence brought good to so many at work who were having trials of their own. Her attitude towards life became a source of strength and inspiration.

To date, at age 47 only, she started on her second round of chemotherapy. Her cancer cells continue to misbehave and spread to her body. But just like how she was before, her faith remains steadfast. She believes that a miracle is coming her way.

Please join us and include this wonderful lady in your prayers each day. Include her family that they be given the strength to face the challenges.

BedROCKS

what happen to us at bedrocks...
we got the front table, with a full blast of air condition in front and a loud sounds - that's why we cant hardly hear each other. And because we can't hardly hear each other we can't do some chat that's why we need to extend our time at Starbucks after. But getting the front table is also fun. We got the full view of the performers plus easy access to dance floor. But behind those things is the fun.

These are the fun:
- seeing Mench doing her unlimited dance step at front,
- seeing Derl in her dance moves,
- Mench at her blooming aura as if ready to hook some guy *laughs*
- Unending laughs of Derl and Mench (they really enjoying the night)
- Mench reaction and comments with the bills :-D
- Mech targetting the cute keyboardist of empire :-P
- Ivy's getting lots of drinks (well Im not sure if this is fun)
- and lots of funs...

Happy Halloween

Where do you spend your Halloween? When I was a kid we usually spent it at cemetery visiting the tomb of my beloved aunt. Few years ago, the usual celebration change, suddenly we are having a Halloween party at home with all my cousins. A simple party with lots of freaky kids in their Halloween costume scaring each other while having fun. This year I spent the holiday not the usual way. A night before halloween Ivy, Derl, Mench, Michael and I were having dinner in one of the resto in baywalk with some cool live bands. We watched three sets of bands while having our dinner. The second set of band is really cool and fun for me. After dinner we continue the night at Bedrocks Malate for some real fun. The groups who performed that night are "The hitmakers" and "empire". Their performance is great especially the hitmakers. We really enjoy the night. Then after some fun, we spent the rest of the morning at Starbucks for some chat till the sun came out.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat” words that is related for holloween celebration. By the way, its almost holloween. There are lots of kids doing the usual trick or treat at malls, offices and somewhere else. But with this, Im not talking that kind of trick or treat...I'll give a new defenition for this just this one, since I made a best trick or treat with Ivy.. let start with TRICK – remember the big joke I posted before.. That was one kind of trick for me, but let me tell you the other side of the story. My bestfriend is throwing a big trick on me, something really serious, which I admit it really gets me. But my instinct move fast, as if its saying, your bestfriend is just crazy giving you a trick. So I play the game she wants to play. The moment we seriously talk about that she is “pregnant” (for the record, shes single and unattached that moment), my mind just function, for that moment I dont know how and why, but I just said a news to her. Ive said I had a boyfriend. Wishing that maybe for a moment she'll focus on what I've said and stop her story. Which I think Im quite successful. But my story doesn't end with that. Since Im already into it, I make a decision to continue it, until my mission with her is complete. After saying that story to her I just realized that I have a good reason giving her that trick. Something that I think, she really needs this time. Now, at this moment I know Im successful. My mission is complete so I've just tell her the good news..- that everything about that bf thingie is just a wonderful story. You want to know my mission with her, then talk to me in person.*laugh*

Now lets move with the TREAT - to make it short and simple I just gave her a wonderful treat, something I never did before since I cant aford it... :-P

How to Celebrate my Bestfriend Birthday?

1. don't ask her what is her plans for that day, coz she never want to plan anything
2. let her do her task the usual way, as if it is not her day coz thats how she want it
3. if you have plans let her know so she wont be surprise – she just dont' like surprises
4. plan ahead of time before your plans go to waste
5. In buying a gift, don't bring someone who hates to walk around the mall or else you'll end up buying nothing
6. be prepared, make your dinner place reserve before time
7. be thankful to the restaurant crew who were make your night cool and warm
8. be thankful to friends who came inspite of busy scheds
9. prepare your place coz the rest of the night will be spent there
10. be ready for a night long of “kwentuhan” and “puyatan”

Big joke...

Someone just throw a big joke to me lately. For her it was just a joke but honestly its not as funny as it sounds. Let me put it this way, what if your bestfriend told you that she is in a big trouble. Something really serious, that you can't just let her down. And you tried to push your self to the limit just to help her. From the moment she told you that she's in trouble, you were really affected. As if your system stop for a moment, your life focus just on one thing which is her current situation – the problem shes facing. You tried to carry her problem as if it was yours for a simple reason – you want to help your bestfriend as much as you can. Then after few weeks you just found out that everything is not real. That's what exactly happen to me. I don't know how it sounds but its not a joke. After that I just realized something, my best friend is really crazy. I'm just glad she's not really in trouble. And I'm hoping she will not throw a big joke like that again.

She's getting married!

One of my best friend is getting married. She’s my friend since high school. we’re classmate during second year and then she moved to other school because of financial reason. But we still keep in touch either through letter or phone. She’s always present during my birthday and other special occasions of my life. What ever happen she’s always there for me!
Now she’s taking a more challenging path of life. Married life... and soon as a mother. We all know it’s not easy but we also know she will be a good wife and mother. Maybe she’s too young for that kind of responsibility but she’s not too young to prove and show her capability. She is a young but tough person. Her faith will surely help her along the way of that road she’ll be taking. And as always we’re always here for her. No matter what! So in her new course we wish her happiness and strength to survive everything that will come her way!

Good luck to you and Best wishes!
